A spring we applied to the foundation "Children for a Better World" for financial support to purchase new equipment for a school gym. Lutheran pastor From Lübeck Helmut Brauer supported our project and this winter our dream came true - 1,500.00€, worth sport equipment arrived at our school. We are provided with an excellent opportunity to use an elliptic workout mashine, floor ball set of a goal and goalkeeper’s equipment, exercise benches, weight rods, various weightlifting accessories

The new equipment is an important contribution to active promotion of  healthy lifestyle at our school. It is of great use to promote the idea ”Sound mind in a sound body” being used not only during classes but after classes as well. Those living in the hostel spend their evenings in the gym – they choose to be energetic but not “coach potatoes”. Gradually sports become a mutual part of students’ everyday life, a kind of necessity to get energy for studies and other activities.  They follow a very good example of their teachers and other school staff.  

It is also necessary to add that participation in another project successfully resulted in table tennis

equipment arrival.

We are thankful to those who do a lot to stimulate and promote students’ healthy life style. That’s a chance

to make life at school more interesting and diverse.

Šī gada pavasarī rakstījām pieteikumu fondam „Children for better world“ jauna aprīkojuma iegādei skolas sporta zālei. Ar Lībekas luterāņu draudzes mācītāja Helmuta Brauera gādību un atbalstu šoziem esam tikuši pie sen gaidītajām iekārtām. Iztērējot 1500,00 EUR, nopirkām uz uzstādījām eliptisko trenežieri, florbola komplektu ar vārtiem un vārtsarga aprīkojumu, vingrošanas solu, svaru stieni, dāžadu smagumu hanteles un svaru diskus, kurus var izmantot gan stienim, gan arī kompleksajam trenažierim.

Jaunais aprīkojums ir būtisks ieguldījums skolā aktīvi popularizētajam sportiskajam un veselīgajam dzīvesveidam.

Skolēniem šīs jaunās iekārtas ir iespēja lietot ne vien sporta stundās, bet arī vakaros kopmītnē dzīvojošajiem. Tas arī tiek aktīvi izmantots. Katra šāda aktivitāte kalpo idejai: „Veselā miesā vesels gars“, tāpēc esam gandarīti, ka varam dot tajā savu ieguldījumu.

Ir patīkami, ka labprāt šajās aktivitātēs iesaistās arī skolotāji un darbinieki, saprotot, ka tā ir laieliska atsloldze un pārmaiņa ikdienas pienākumu ierastajā ritmā.

Jāpiebilsts, ka, īstenojot Rēzeknes jauniešu iniciatīvu projektu, esam tikuši arī pie jauna tenisa galda un aprīkojuma.
